May 6, 2001, Salem, Oregon—Yet another Canon PowerShot S300 test. This with a medium zoom. You can tell I got into the digital zoom because the sharpness of the red flowers in the image isn't very distinct. I still consider the image quite acceptable, but staying away from the digital zoom (which can go up to 7.5x) and relying on the optical zoom (up to 3x) yields better results.
This happy, clean little bird is enjoying our neighbor Fred's bird bath. We're hoping to add a bird bath in our yard as well, because, let's face it, bathing birds are pretty darn cute.
