October 25, 1998 in Eugene, Oregon—Okay, I grant you that every member of the wedding party is looking in a different direction, but that's only because dozens of different cameras were trained on us. Believe me, it was like a being at the Oscars surrounded by paparazzi. Well, except for the backdrop—you don't get beautiful riverside scenery like that in LA.
From left to right that's me, my friend Dave, his wife Melissa, and her friend Michelle. As regular readers know, Dave and I have been friends for a good long time (since 3rd grade if anyone's wondering). Our shared history has a lot of great moments, but this was a definite highlight.
