December 29, 2001, Los Altos, California—Jared was a total trooper, accurately delivering one Christmas stocking after another to grateful recipients around the room. After about five such trips, he grew a little weary of his role as Fed Ex boy though, finally asking plaintively, "Where's the one for Jared?"
