June 29, 2001, Redwood City, California—Erin and I met up with Erin's sister Christine and our nephew Jared at a local Redwood City park. We did lunch and watched all the kids play. The park has water fountains (which only operate during certain hours), lots of cool climbing toys, and nice picnic areas. I wish the park in our back yard had a lot of these features. Here, Jared is gamely walking a balance beam under Mom's watchful eye.
